For example, this morning, I shared the following status update on Facebook:
This is my real life.Which led to another friend/arts colleague (thanks, LBT!) creating the visual to accompany the exchange:
SETTING: The car. B is driving. D is in the passenger seat. B turns the radio on; we come in midway through a news program featuring a segment on lobster catchers in Maine.
RADIO REPORTER: As I approach the shore, I see a dozen lobstermen -
D: LOBSTER-MEN?? WHY IS THIS NOT ALL OVER ALL THE NEWS?!?
Which reminded me that it's quite possible the fact that stuff like this happens pretty much every day in my life is something I should celebrate more often.
And share more often. Hmmm. Maybe I should take a week off of writing, and just freakin' transcribe my real-life script...

Ummm I kinda thought that WAS what you were doing. :) Richard
ReplyDeleteWell, on the blog (which I've been worse and worse about updating), yeah... but on the novel-and-play-writing side, I try for some originality...
ReplyDelete...I said some!!!! ;-)
... or, you *claim* it is "originality" so that the not-so-innocent do not tweak to what you are doing...
