I've been beating myself up a little bit about the fact that I haven't been sticking to the proposed "posting schedule" for this blog. Mondays, posts on running, Tuesdays, posts on cooking, blah blah blah. But I've decided to give up the guilt - and while I'm at it, give up the posting schedule.
Plenty of other things in my life are structured. This doesn't have to be.
So I'm going back to the classic approach of this blog: when something exciting or unique comes up (like, say, I decide to try dressing as a pirate for a week, or something), sure, that can dominate for awhile. Otherwise, this is my write-consistently-no-matter-what-it-is outlet. No huge overarching theme. No specific agenda. Just top-of-mind storytelling. Sometimes finding a little bit of magical truth.
Remaining true to its name.
Speaking of the name. Why is this blog called Little Pixie Magic, you ask? Well, that I can explain in four easy textbook definitions:
Little (/litl/): Small in size, amount, or degree (often used to convey affection)
Pixie (/ˈpiksē/): Whimsical fairy-like or elfin supernatural being in folklore and children's stories, especially one that is mischievous; a playful sprite.
Magic (/ˈmajik/): The power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces.
Natch (natch): Naturally; of course; that just makes sense.
