Step 1: Get a giant mug and a sufficient amount of cocoa powder. You will also need a lot of milk, and ideally some giant-size add-ons like huge marshmallows and a crazy, gigantor peppermint stick. We were lucky enough to have these add-ons. In fact, thanks to a holiday gift, all we had to buy was milk! (You can, of course, make your own cocoa mix - but that's a post for another day! Tonight, novelty!)Step 2: Heat & stir. This is basically the same process as making a regular mug of cocoa, except you use a LOT more milk and cocoa mix! Heat the milk, then stir in the cocoa goodness. Then, if you've got the 'mallows and mint, add them into the giant mug. There will be room. The mug is giant.
Step 3: Size check. Place your giant mug of cocoa next to a normal size mug, to ensure that this is, in fact, a giant mug of cocoa. Is the mug at least triple the size of your usual handy coffee cup? Check!
Step 4: Drink and enjoy! Ahhhh, you're ready to sit back, relax, and enjoy your massive mug. Well, it' not entirely relaxing, although it's very enjoyable. As my lovely model demonstrates, a regular exercise routine including bicep work is helpful in the consumption of giant mugs of cocoa. In fact, the drinking is a workout in itself, which we're pretty sure neutralizes the calories!*
Step 5: Drink again tomorrow! Enjoy some more! Because it's a giant freakin' mug and there will be leftovers. Cocoa leftovers! Amazing!
*This is not intended to be a factual statement. We just wish it were a factual statement. By the by, if you don't recognize the "not intended to be a factual statement statement", go watch this Colbert Report segment immediately. It pairs really well with a giant mug of hot cocoa.

I am not sure there would be leftovers if I were there also. Unless you don't share.
ReplyDeletewhere did you find that giant cup?!?!?!
